Nailah is a Brooklyn based filmmaker, TV producer, and multi-media storyteller. She graduated from University of Missouri Journalism School for Broadcast TV and Radio in 2008. For the past 9 years she’s worked in TV and Film production in NYC and Chicago. Her credits range from daytime shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show and Anderson (with Anderson Cooper) to television docu-series such as CNN’s Death Row Stories and Discovery Channel’s Barbara Walters Presents American Scandals, to music news on FUSE TV. Most recently she co-produced the History Channel feature documentary 15 Septembers Later, commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Over the years she’s helped produce various independent documentary projects, including a to be released feature about the backlogs of untested rape kits in the U.S. A passionate storyteller and creative writer from childhood, as a filmmaker her focus is to tell stories of under represented human experiences.
