Megumi is an award-winning documentary director and producer focused telling stories of multi-racial Japanese experience. Her first feature film “Hafu: The Mixed Race Experience in Japan” screened theatrically across Japan and aired on PBS in the United States. More recently, Megumi produced “Fall Seven Times, Get Up Eight”, a short documentary film about the experience of Japanese “war brides” who moved to the United States after marrying US servicemen in Occupied Japan. The film aired on BBC World News in commemoration of Victory-Japan Day. Megumi is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of Arts Film and Television program and a recipient of the Rotary World Peace Fellowship.
