Larilyn is a New York-based Filipino American filmmaker and editor. Her short films have screened at galleries, museums, and international film festivals including New York Film/Video, Starz Denver, Curta Cinema, and Rotterdam International Film Festival. She has produced and edited for organizations such as WITNESS and Deep Dish TV’s “Shocking and Awful” documentary series that was part of the 2006 Whitney Biennial. Her short film “Homebound” (Balikbayan) won awards at the Grace Heritage ASEAN Film Festival and San Diego Asian American Film Festival. The video is part of National Geographic’s All Roads collection and aired on PBS’s Global Voices. As an editor, her credits include TV series and documentaries for TNT, Bravo, MTV, National Geographic, Logo, Discovery and History Channel as well as the award-winning PBS documentary series “In the Life.” She holds a bachelors degree from the New School University in Liberal Arts/Media Studies and a masters degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts’ Interactive Telecommunications Program.
